Hotel Onoma Daejeon, Autograph Collection (Premium Deluxe Twin Room & Magnolia Suite)

#Domestic Hotel This is a review of the first 5-star hotel in the Daejeon Chungcheong area, Onoma Daejeon, Autograph Collection. This place is located far from other areas by public transportation. It takes about 30 minutes by taxi from Daejeon Station and 50 minutes by bus. Since I have time, I use the bus for both round trips. Fortunately, the distance between the bus stop and the hotel is just around the corner. The hotel lobby is connected to Daejeon Shinsegae via a cloud bridge. The structure is connected to the 6th floor of the department store and the 7th floor of the hotel. There are also 3 Starbucks in the building, so it is possible because it is the same company. Check-in is around 6 PM. There are about 2 groups waiting, so we wait and proceed. The rooms are located from 27 to 37, but since we arrived late, they said there is only 27F. If the hotel tier is low, they just assign rooms on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you want a high floor, come early and wait in line. Instead, they kindly give you a late checkout from 11:00 to 13:00. You also get 2 breakfast coupons as an opening event. Welcome drinks are also included. Breakfast is across from the reception. There are about 2 Premium Deluxe Twins on each floor. It features a spacious 50 square meter room and a view bathroom. It is a large one-room type with a living room and study space. I took a lot of pictures of the room and opened the refrigerator to drink some water. However, there is no cold air at all and the water is lukewarm. When I contacted the front desk because there was something wrong with the refrigerator, two staff members from the management office came after about 10 minutes and went back and forth for about 10 minutes. When I tried to turn on the air conditioner because it was hot, the fan did not turn. Oh! There is a problem with the electricity in this room. There is nothing wrong with the TV or other lights. The room was changed about an hour after check-in. A staff member came to the front desk, brought me another room key, guided me to that room, and left. They said they were sorry, but dinner time was lost from 6:20 to 7:20 PM. The room was two levels higher than the room I reserved, the Magnolia Suite, on the 36th floor. It was a forced upgrade. I traded the welcome drink & dinner time for the suite. Unlike the 27th floor, it was a corner side room, so I could enjoy the river view of the Shinsegae rooftop and the mountain view of the Hanbit Tower in Expo Park. However, there was no view bathroom. Since it was a residence room, it had a full set of a drum washing machine + dryer + styler, a dish drying rack, a microwave, an induction stove, a sink, a refrigerator & freezer, a 4-person dining table, and many other furniture and storage facilities, so it was just like home. There is nothing around the hotel except for Shinsegae Department Store. The department store is open until 8 PM and the restaurants are open until 10 PM. When I go down around 7:30, there are no restaurants available due to the lack of ingredients. I buy cheese and ham at the food corner on the first basement floor and a bottle of champagne at the wine corner, but the department store is closed. The restaurants are also not accepting new customers other than those who have already waited. I put the champagne and cheese in the refrigerator and checked the in-room dining, and it is not open 24 hours, but the last order is around 9 PM. The only place I can go is Starbucks, which is open until 10 PM. However, this place is located on the 38th floor, so it is quite popular because it has the effect of an observation deck. I waited in line for about 40 minutes and was finally able to go up after 9 PM. There are almost no menu items leftㅜㅜ I order a bagel and pound cake from the ones that are available, and only then can I eat dinner. Then I go back to the hotel and end the day with champagne, cheese, and ham. The first minibar is free. There is a 6-item no-brand set in the refrigerator. Consuming our own products is good, but I think many people will be disappointed in premium brand hotels. The second time it rains, the scary sound of rain is heard. It rained that day, and it was scary to hear this sound in a newly built building. It was dark at night, so I only took a video, but I will check it the next morning. Since the finish is made of iron, the sound of rain bouncing off that place is clear and very loud beyond the window. It is a powerful Dolby sound system that cannot be blocked even by TV sound. Breakfast was provided for free, so I ate well. The omelette was excellent. It was the best among domestic hotels. If you increase the cheese content a little more and add spinach and mushrooms to the toppings, you will be able to climb to the omelette seat.
