Experience a different mode of transportation - take a DFDS cruise from Copenhagen to Oslo

Because our family has never experienced a cruise ship, we just happened to take this trip to Europe to experience a cruise ship and sleep one night before arriving in Oslo, Norway. It was a different experience, so I decided to take a cruise. We chose a cabin with a window and sea view. For meals, in addition to the official website, you can make a reservation in advance or decide to order on the spot, so eating is not a problem. There is also a duty-free shop on the ship, which is easy to browse and buy. Things are really cheap. At first I thought that everything in Europe was expensive, so before boarding the ship in Copenhagen, I went to a nearby supermarket to buy some bread, milk, snacks and water. We purchased an extra dinner on the cruise and chose the all-you-can-eat 7 SEAS restaurant. Although it is all-you-can-eat, the drinks need to be ordered separately. There is also a time limit for dining (about 2 hours). We chose to dine at 16:30 for the first batch of guests. Many of the first batch of guests were still resting, especially many group guests who were in the second batch of meals. It happened to be staggered with them and felt more leisurely. . There is a wide selection of ingredients for dinner, including a variety of seafood, steaks, pork, salads, desserts, and a dining area specially set up for children. In addition, there are lockers at the pier to store luggage. However, you need to insert coins and cannot swipe your card, so if you don’t have coins, you may be able to go to the counter and swipe your card with the staff to exchange coins! I'm not sure about this part. Because in Norway, if we need coins for washing and drying clothes, we have to swipe the card in exchange for coins. At first, I originally thought that I would have a chance to hang out nearby before taking the boat, so I would need to store my luggage, but then I found out that there is a distance between the pier and nearby attractions, and there was not enough time. So in the end we rested and waited at the pier. The boat departs at 15:00 in the afternoon, and you can start boarding at 12:45. There is no need to check the luggage when boarding, let alone weighing. I was originally worried that the milk juice water I bought in the supermarket would not be able to board the boat! Fortunately, no problem. Only when I exchanged my ferry ticket at the counter, did I look at my passport. The boat ticket is also an access card, so keep it safe. We boarded the ship at 12:45, but the cabins were still being arranged, so we couldn't check in, so we found a floor with chairs to rest, took turns taking care of our luggage, and then took turns walking around each floor. It wasn't until around 14:00 that we were able to get into the room. We live on the fifth floor. There are rooms above the fifth floor and the parking area below. The fifth floor is also where all visitors enter and exit. Each cabin is a suite, and our cabin was small but quite comfortable and convenient. It was also convenient for us to live on the fifth floor. When we arrived at the Oslo pier at about 10:00 the next morning, we hurried to the door to wait for disembarkation when the cruise ship was about to open, because we had heard before that if we move too slowly, there may be too many people. , it takes more than half an hour just to queue up to get off the boat! #Norway #Oslo #Denmark #Copenhagen #Cruise #dfds #familytravel
