We only had half a day in Cologne, arriving at 11 am and leaving at 16 pm, but even so, the two of us tourist special forces still packed the itinerary to the brim. [Station] The specific itinerary is as follows: Cologne Train Station - Cologne Cathedral - fruh am dom Pork Knuckle Shop - Kolumba Museum - 4711 Perfume Shop - Old Town Hall - Great St. Martin's Church - Hohenzollern Bridge - Cologne Philharmonic Hall - — Cologne train station [Two] Cologne Cathedral, a perfect example of Gothic cathedral, took more than 600 years to complete, a world cultural heritage, 157.3 meters high, and the third tallest church in the world. Treasures include a shrine and altar to the Magi and a Gothic statue of the Virgin. The sculptures on the church door and main body are extremely gorgeous, and there are a large number of 14th-century flower windows inside. The church can be climbed to the top (6 euros), and there is also a treasure house located underground (6 euros). It is highly recommended. You can know how extravagant the medieval church was. It is also a miracle that Cologne Cathedral survived World War II. As you can see from old photos, the entire Cologne has been razed to the ground, and only it stands alone among the ruins. [Three]Fruh am dom Pork Knuckle Shop, an internet celebrity shop next to the Cologne Cathedral. The portion is generous, the pork knuckle is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It also comes with Cologne light beer. The overall taste is okay, and it’s a good choice. [Four]Kolumba Museum, rebuilt from the ruins of World War II. Its predecessor, St. Columba's Church, was the largest Romanesque church in Cologne. After World War II, only a few ruins remained. Pritzker Prize winner Peter Zumthor rebuilt it on the original site, retaining the remaining walls of the church and adding modern gray hollow walls to commemorate the trauma caused by World War II. Religious and artistic exhibits on display in the museum [Five] 4711 Perfume Shop, which sells the world’s earliest cologne, is named after its house number: 4711. There is a small perfume fountain. [Six] The old city hall was destroyed during World War II and rebuilt after the war. There is a 14th-century town hall, a 15th-century Gothic tower, and a 16th-century Renaissance-style gallery. The Gothic tower is engraved with 124 statues of famous people. [Seven] The Great St. Martin's Church began in the first century AD and formed its current regulations in the fifteenth century. There is a tall spire in the center, surrounded by four spectacular towers, and the ground is paved in the shape of a clover. The interior of the church is simple and concise, returning to nature [Eight] The Hohenzollern Bridge consists of three adjacent truss arch bridges with a total length of 409.19 meters.
