It is 157 meters high and is the tallest twin-towered church in the world. It is also the second tallest church in Europe and the third tallest church in the world. It has a spectacular appearance and a gorgeous interior. There are many precious artworks and cultural relics, such as the bones of St. Peter, the remains of the Three Wise Kings, and fragments of the cross. The history of Cologne Cathedral can be traced back to the 4th century, when there was a Roman temple here, which was later converted into a Christian church. In 1248, in order to accommodate the remains of the Three Wise Kings, construction of the current cathedral began, but due to funding and technical problems, the project was delayed and was not completed until 1880, after a total of 632 years. The cathedral suffered severe damage during World War II but did not collapse. It became the hope and pride of the people of Cologne. After the war, the cathedral was restored and protected, and in 1996 it was listed as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. I was in awe of the majesty and beauty of Cologne Cathedral.
