#traveldiaries I just returned from a lovely trip to Colico, a picturesque town nestled on the shores of Lake Como, Italy. 🌊 The scenery here is simply breathtaking! I spent my days exploring the waterfront and enjoying the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. A highlight of my visit was the Fort Montecchio, which has a small entrance fee of around €5. The fort offers an incredible panoramic view of the lake and surrounding landscape, making it well worth the climb! I also enjoyed wandering through the quaint streets, filled with charming cafés and shops. Don’t miss the chance to sample local delicacies at the lakeside restaurants—fresh fish from the lake is a must! Colico is an ideal spot for outdoor activities, from hiking to windsurfing, and it offers a more relaxed atmosphere compared to the busier towns on Lake Como.
