Freycinet National Park

A beautiful sunrise was captured at Freycinet Lodge where we stayed. Everything became really slippery due to the thin layer of ice cover the entire resort. We had to slowly made our way to the balcony of the check in area to have this wonderful picture taken. A recommended stay here but just a heads up that there is nothing around this area. It is just basically a beautiful lodge in the national park. Food wise is rather pricy but good. Nothing is complete in your travel in Tassie without going to Freycinuet national park. This is an iconic, remarkable, breathtaking and panoramic area and not forgetting the famous wineglass bay! The diversity in the coastal landscape is dramatic, with rocky coves and surging surf around one corner, and sheltered bays and sandy beaches around the next. As you explore the park, the Hazards – a spectacular granite mountain range that rises dramatically from the sheltered turquoise bays – provides a breathtaking backdrop that is never far from view. Coming to Tassie, make sure you plan your trips and hikes to make your trip worth it.
