One of my favorite spots on our trip to the US! ———Horseshoe Bay (Monterey Bay) A beautiful bay located on the central coast of California 🌊🐬 Spanish explorers arrived in the area in the early 16th century They noticed that the bay was shaped like a horse's hoof print. So it was called "La Bahía de los Pinos" which means "Bay of the Pines" As more European explorers arrived, the name evolved into Horseshoe Bay. 🌍Excellent location Located between the Monterey Peninsula and the Santa Cruz Mountains It is a vast and unique bay facing the Pacific Ocean🌍 💙 The reason why the water in Horseshoe Bay is so blue The marine ecosystem here is very healthy Rich in nutrients and plankton, the water is given a bright blue color. The refraction of sunlight also makes the sea water appear deep blue🌞 🚗 You can visit Horseshoe Bay by car from San Francisco or Los Angeles along US Highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) #GlobalTravel
