Clifton Country Park is a large park offering a variety of amenities, including a play area, picnic grounds, cycling and walking trails, a cafe and public washrooms. The Clifton Viaduct was built in the 19th century to cross the river, carrying the Manchester, Poulton and Bury Canals, and is now listed as a Grade II monument.
