🔥 Valley of Fire is just one-hour drive from Las Vegas and is a worthy contender for a day trip out of Vegas. Valley of Fire is Nevada’s oldest and largest state park. The park is located around 50 miles northeast of Las Vegas. It is a massive park filled with red rocks made from Aztec sandstone. Thus, it gives the illusion that the area is on fire and that is where the name came from.
