Yunnan’s high-pot cherries are only in full bloom when they look like the picture! A few years ago, I went to Yuantong Mountain to see cherry blossoms and weeping crabapples for the first time. I thought they looked pretty good, but when I went there again a week later, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. From a distance, I could see the enchanting pink color that was faintly visible. I was shocked. In an instant, the other white and light pink cherry blossoms became pale (including the crabapples). Suddenly, I understood why the little goblins were so attractive. Yunnan’s high-pot cherries are the little goblins! Since then, I have flown from Guangdong to Kunming to see them every March. I will leave this year as well! I hope they will bloom next week! The ranking of the flowers I have seen in full bloom: Yunnan high-pot cherry = Bijie Baili azalea (better in terms of 100 miles) > Gejiu Jiajizhai's old pear trees > Luoping rapeseed flowers (better in terms of scale) > Luoyang National Flower Garden's peonies.
