Furong Cave is located on the bank of Furong River, the largest tributary of Wujiang River, at an altitude of 480m. (The landform characteristics of Furong River are high mountains, steep slopes, deep mountain streams and valleys, deep canyons, wide and undulating mountain tops, dense vegetation, and significant mountain landform characteristics.) It was formed in the fourth Pleistocene period about 1 million years ago. The total length of the tour trail is 1,860m and the width is 33-50m. It is a large limestone corridor-style cave. The temperature in the cave is maintained at 16-18℃ all year round. It was listed as a World Natural Heritage Site in 2007 and was rated as a "National AAAAA" tourist attraction by the National Tourism Administration in 2011. The secondary chemical sediments in Furong Cave are very rich, including almost all types of cave sediments, more than 70 species, with novel and magnificent shapes, perfect and diverse mineral crystals, large quantities, pure textures and wide distribution.
