The Chongqing Dayuanxiang Museum is really well-hidden, located in the mountains, but it is definitely a little treasure of Bayu culture. It is called the 'Dunhuang on wood' by everyone. Once you go inside, those cultural relics are simply soul-stirring! The entire museum has 8 exhibition halls, covering a large area of 53 acres. Did you know that this place used to be a Tianfu Bowl Factory that existed during the Xianfeng period? Now inside, it houses countless Ming and Qing wooden carving artworks, as well as those ancient doors and windows, ancient furniture, all super tasteful. Walking inside, it feels like traveling through time and space, with ancient buildings covered in moss, and the air filled with the woody fragrance of old houses, full of traces of the years. There are no exquisite exhibitions and glass covers here, only simple displays and stacking, such authenticity allows us to observe more closely the traces of time and the profound historical atmosphere on the exhibits. In front of such a spectacular cultural scene, it feels as if one day has crossed a thousand years, stepping into the homes of tens of thousands, and truly experiencing the breadth and charm of national culture!
