The Niccolo Chongqing is not as bad as some online comments suggest!

The Niccolo Chongqing Hotel - Top-notch landscape and service I had long planned to stay at the Niccolo Chongqing Hotel and was pleased to check in as expected. I booked an N1 city view king room, and the hotel called the day before to ask about any room requirements and check-in time. My only request was for a higher floor. I arrived at the hotel around 3 pm on Saturday. The hotel is located in Chongqing IFS Guojin, and you can take the elevator from the third floor of the mall directly to the 62nd-floor sky lobby. There were quite a few people checking in over the weekend, and I waited about 10 minutes when I checked in. The service was acceptable; they helped press the elevator button and guided me to my room. The room was on the 59th floor. N1 is considered a basic room, but it felt quite spacious upon entering. It had all the standard amenities, including a bathtub, without feeling cramped. The view was nice, but unfortunately, it was a foggy day, so visibility wasn't great. From this room, you could even see a bit of the river view. Housekeeping came to turn down the bed before 5 pm, which was very nice. The room provided mineral water from Baishishan, and the toiletries were small bottles of Lorenzo Villoresi, a fragrance I personally like very much. The room's minibar was charged, but the N3 room type is free, so I might try that next time. I had a cocktail at the bar in the evening, and the night view was fantastic. Breakfast was also on the 62nd floor, and someone led us to our seats. The selection wasn't extensive, just a few items, and there was no a la carte menu anymore. I ordered a Chongqing small noodle dish from the noodle station, which was quite good. The baked goods and pastries were decent, and everything else was standard. When checking out, I asked for a room card as a souvenir, and the receptionist kindly gave me a new one. A few hours after leaving, I realized I had forgotten my charger, haha. I called the front desk, and they kindly offered to mail it to me. In conclusion, the Niccolo Chongqing is not as bad as some people say online. My personal experience was great, and it's worth a stay!
