The Most Magnificent Pavilion in Chongqing

Hong'en Temple was at the top of my list when visiting Chongqing...can you see why?! Located in the Jiangbei district of Chongqing, Hong'en Temple Forest Park is a pretty area thanks to the lush greenery all around, but the most amazing thing about it is definitely the 7-storey high Hong'en Pavilion. When to visit: Definitely visit just before sunset, so that you can see the pavilion both during the day and just after it turns dark! As the sun sets, the lights on Hong'en Pavilion will come alight and when we were visiting, all the lights on the pavilion were on by around 7pm. Even if you end up visiting during a grey and gloomy day, the pavilion itself will still look stunning, and the view that you get to witness from the top of Longji Mountain is pretty incredible too!
