Chongqing- Fengdu ghost city

You can get to Fengdu by taking the train from CQ (About 30mins or so). I strongly recommend you to hire a private guide. You will learn very interesting things about the history of the “ghost” city and all its different temples and gods. You also learn that when you visit Fengdu, you have 3 tests that will determine wether you are good or bad: 1st test: The bridge. 2nd test: The gate of hell. 3rd test: “Fly” to the tower. At the end of your visit, you will meet the God of the underworld who is the ultimate judge. Quite interesting but you definitely need a guide. There are some explanations written in English but not much. I actually was very inspired by a calligraphic art located next to a temple. (see picture) I’ve been thinking about getting my first tattoo for a while and decided to go with it. It uses 4 different Chinese characters (唯 善 呈 和). The meaning is: “Goodness" is the source of "harmony", and "harmony" is the state of "kindness".
