A temple with the oldest history in Tokyo after Sensoji Temple

The statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, a national treasure, is enshrined in the Shakyamuni Hall. Spring water came out of the lush green Jindaiji precincts, and soba making developed along with abundant water sources. There are more than 20 soba restaurants in the surrounding area, and it has become a specialty. In addition to the New Year's visit and Setsubun, it is crowded with a large number of people during events such as the Daruma Market held on March 3rd and 4th every year, the "Onito Festival" in summer (around the end of July every year), and the Soba Festival in autumn.
