Leng Buai Ya Shrine

This shrine is a shrine of the Teochew Chinese group. It is located at 125 Soi Charoen Krung 16, Samphanthawong Subdistrict, Samphanthawong District. This shrine was built during the reign of King Rama III. Inside the shrine, there is an altar to worship Leng Buai Eia or the Dragon Tail God. On the left side is an altar to worship the God Guan Yu and on the right side is an altar to worship the Goddess of Heaven. There are pillars in the shape of a dragon coiling around them. On the right side near the door is an ancient bell that was built during the reign of Emperor Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty. The shrine itself is a Chinese architectural style. It is a single building with a large roof covered with colored glazed tiles. There are two dragons facing each other on top. The community around Leng Buai Eia Shrine is a fresh market, which is opposite the old market on Yaowarat Road, which is bustling and popular with tourists. #Shrine #Yaowarat
