Musashi-dera Temple, Kyushu's oldest temple with beautiful vines and camellias

#Fukuoka Attractions Musashi-ji Temple is the oldest temple in Kyushu, located halfway up Mount Tenbai, with beautiful vines and camellias. It was built in the Asuka period, and is the oldest temple in Kyushu. It is located at the entrance of Mount Tenbai, and is a prefectural designated historic site of the Tendai sect, "Fuyukashiwazan Musashi-ji Temple". Also known as "Terrace Temple", it is also a temple where vine flowers and azaleas bloom. The 1,300-year-old "Elder Wisteria" in the temple is a must-see. When viewing wisteria flowers, the "Wisteria Festival" is held, attracting many worshippers. In addition, there is the "Wisteria Waterfall" with a drop of about 2 meters where Sugawara no Michizane purified his body, and the "Hanging Rock" where clothes were hung during purification.
