|Walking in the clouds in Haituo Valley. What is it like to hike in the clouds?
In 2009, Mount Haituo was selected as one of the "Top Ten Unknown Mountains" in China by the National Geographic Magazine of China, becoming a must-visit place for beginner hikers.
Alpine meadows are covered with flowers and grass, with the scent of grass after rain, and in the distance is the Winter Olympics ski venue. It is suitable for newcomers to experience and even more suitable for veteran mountain runners.
Location: Haituo Mountain (at the junction of Zhangshanying Town, Yanqing District and Chicheng County, Hebei Province)
Route: Jiangzhuangzi (navigation location) → Nandaliang → Dahaituo Village
Altitude: 1840m
Distance: 10km
Ascent: 620m
Descent: 630m
Difficulty: Low to medium difficulty, beginner-friendly, no steep ascents and descents

❗️tips:
1⃣ Bring a windbreaker, as the weather in the mountains is sometimes hot and sometimes cold and it is easy to catch a cold.
2⃣Leave no trace in the mountains, bring your garbage bag.
3⃣There are gravel sections on the way down the mountain. Don’t wear ordinary sports shoes as it’s easy to fall. Wear non-slip hiking shoes instead.
4⃣ No need to bring trekking poles (please ignore this if you are climbing for the first time).
