Chicago Observation Decks Part 1: 360 Chicago

The observatory is definitely prettier at night than during the day. But that's only when comparing the two; they're both really pretty! If you're going to go to an observatory, I recommend going around sunset. Once you go up to either observatory, you can come down whenever you want (no time restrictions). The best way to get the most out of your time is to go before sunset and see both the bright side and the night view...ㅎㅎ I made a reservation for 5:30 because the sunset was supposed to be at 6:06, and I went in at 5:15. I took pictures for about 30 minutes and was able to take a picture right when I was going down from the ledge (I was lucky). The problem was that the clerk was really bad at taking pictures for me!! (I went alone, so I had no one to ask except the clerk..) They say that a professional photographer takes really good pictures, but this is not taken with your personal phone/camera, but with the person's camera, and you have to pay to find the pictures, so please keep that in mind :) When I bought the City Pass, it asked me to reserve a time, so I thought that if I reserved, I would be able to enter right away without waiting~, so I reserved a time for both 360 Chicago and Willis Tower, but I found out that at least 360 Chicago does not take reservations in that sense. The reason 360 Chicago requires reservations is because there is a limit to the number of people who can use it on the day(?), so if all the people who reserved a time on the day are full, you can't use it even if you have a pass. So if you go on the day and try to buy a ticket, there's a high chance that you won't be able to buy it. Even if you buy it individually, you have to buy it in advance on the website. If you buy the City Pass, I definitely recommend that you reserve the date and time beforehand! Then, even if you wait a bit, you can still get in that day ㅎㅎ.. In conclusion, even though I had a reservation for 360 Chicago, I had to wait in line to get in (I waited in line for an hour and a half, and then I took a picture (a must-have at tourist attractions,,, a picture to composite the city and me) and after I took that, I said, 'I have a City Pass' and they guided me to a different line from the regular line. From there, people with the City Pass go in first and (relatively) have a shorter line, so keep that in mind ㅎㅎ #urbanexplorer #USAtravel #Chicago #ChicagoTravel #ObservationDeck #360chicago #HotPlace
