The Field Museum in Chicago: Ancient Egyptian civilization display, rich knowledge and visual enjoyment

The Field Museum, located on Lake Shore Avenue in Chicago, Illinois, USA, is a museum full of historical and cultural charm that I recently visited. This visit gave me a deeper understanding of ancient Egyptian civilization. When I walked into the Egyptian pavilion, the first thing that attracted me was the exquisite mummies. These well-preserved mummies demonstrate the ancient Egyptians' unique understanding of life and death and their superb embalming techniques. Each mummy comes with a detailed background introduction, allowing people to feel the mystery and solemnity of ancient civilization. The exhibition hall also displays ancient Egyptian means of transportation, such as simulated ships and carriage models. These exhibits reveal people’s daily life and trade activities at that time, and gave me a clearer understanding of the social structure of ancient Egypt. In addition, I was also fascinated by the ancient copper coins on display. The exquisite patterns and texts on these copper coins recorded the economic development and cultural exchanges of ancient Egypt. Throughout the visit, the layout and explanation of the exhibition hall were very thoughtful, providing rich knowledge and visual enjoyment. This trip to the Field Museum not only broadened my horizons, but also stimulated my interest in history.
