Fenqihu Dadong Mountain, a hiking trail between fir forests and sea of ​​clouds

#2月好去2025 Come and hike in Alishan and Fenqihu! This time we are going to challenge the "Dahdong Mountain" which is listed among the 100 Small Mountains in Taiwan. We chose to enter from the Dinghu parking lot. We first passed Guanyin Stone and a tea garden. Against the backdrop of good weather, the blooming cherry blossoms dotted the forest, which was quite beautiful. The hiking destination is the triangulation point viewing platform of Dadong Mountain. The route goes in a circle without turning back and takes about 2 hours. Since the starting point is 1,500 meters above sea level and the slope is long and steep, you will be out of breath after just a few steps! Fortunately, there are fir forests full of phytoncides along the way, the air is fresh, the scenery is lush and green, and the trail conditions are good, so you can get there with just a little adaptation. Since it was a Monday, there were very few people climbing the mountain, so we had the exclusive use of the observation deck under the blue sky. We could take photos of Xiaobaiyue and check in without queuing. The view was amazing! The trail down the mountain is mostly stairs. Although it is steep, the road condition is good. In addition, the weather is good and the road surface is dry, so it is quite friendly to walk. Wandering among the fir and bamboo forests is really refreshing. The other side of the Dadong Mountain Trail leads to Duolin, which is another Pili Mountain Trail.
