Alishan National Forest Recreation Area Town Centre

Situated at an altitude of around 2,000 meters, the Alishan Forest Recreation Area in Chiayi County, Taiwan, is famous for its stunning scenery, ancient forests, and scenic train rides. We traveled by bus from Sun Moon Lake to the Alishan Transport Station, and from there, it was just a short walk to the park entrance. An entrance fee is required, with the cost for an adult foreign visitor being NT$300. It took us about 15 minutes to walk from the entrance to our accommodation at Wankou Hotel. The town center of the Alishan National Forest Recreation Area is small and easy to navigate.
