Pay homage to the Buddha's relics at Wat Phra That Chom Sak.

🛕Wat Phra That Chom Sak, formerly known as Wat Phra That Doi Ban Yang, is the site of Phra That Chom Sak, one of the nine Phra That in Chiang Rai. It was built during the Yonok Chiang Saen era. 🙏During the reign of King Phangkarat, the 24th king of the Yonok dynasty, Phra Phutthakosacharn, a monk from Kosala in Suthamawadi, brought the Buddha's relics from Lanka to present to the king. King Phangkarat divided the relics into three parts: one part was enshrined at Phra That Doi Chom Thong, the second part at Phra That Chom Kitti, and the third part at Phra That Doi Ban Yang. 🛕Later, in 1947, Kruba Kamla Sangwaro presided over the renovation of the new Phra That, building it over the old one.
