Wat Phra Singh, Chiang Mai

Locals say that this temple houses the Great Chedi containing the Buddha's hair relic, which is the zodiac relic for the Year of the Dragon. Those born in this year are encouraged to visit for good fortune. This temple is located on Sam Lan Road, Phra Singh Subdistrict, Mueang District. It enshrines the Phra Buddha Sihing, which was built in 1345 AD. In front of the entrance roundabout of the viharn, there is a monument of Kruba Srivichai, a former abbot of the temple. Inside, it houses the Phra Si Sanphet (Luang Pho To), the principal Buddha image.
