Visit Wat Muang Lan to pay respects to Luang Pho Thanjai Muang Lan

Wat Muang Lan is located on Ratchadamnoen Road, not far from Tha Phae Gate. This ancient temple is over 565 years old and showcases the beautiful Lanna architecture. It houses the revered Luang Pho Thanjai Muang Lan. It is believed that those who make merit at Wat Muang Lan and pay respects to Luang Pho Thanjai Muang Lan will become immensely wealthy and experience great happiness. The vihara with Naga stairs, used for monk ceremonies, is nearing completion of its renovation. Behind the vihara stands an old Lanna-style chedi. In the middle is the library for storing the Tripitaka, and to the far left is the ubosot, surrounded by boundary stones. A unique feature here is the bell tower situated atop the monk's quarters. Wat Muang Lan is a small, very peaceful temple.
