I stayed at the hotel of my life in Chiang Mai.
I came to Anantara Chiang Mai 12 years ago, and I didn't expect it to be so well maintained. It was designed by Aman's royal architect Kerry Hill, and every angle is beautiful~
It's great for sunbathing by the pool~or reading by the pool
It's beautiful in sunny and rainy weather! The full screen of green ivy is so healing~
There is also a night ceremony, and the movie "The Disciple" was filmed here
The location is obviously better than Laya Ruins/Four Seasons, and it is very convenient near the ancient city
There is a night market at the door, and there is a Michelin recommended restaurant ekachan
The rooms are relatively large, and they all have terraces/balconies overlooking the garden
The afternoon tea and Ping River dinner atmosphere are very good
The mini bar is big enough~ The breakfast is very rich! I ate for 3 days and didn't get tired

A Visit to Royal Park Rajapruek
Visited the Royal Park Rajapruek in Chiang Mai today. There's a different ticket price for Thais and non-Thais. Well, that's typical Thai practice. Foreigners pay 200 THB to enter. The garden is quite large, with various flowers to see. I chose to walk around, which allowed me to take a closer look and get some exercise. It's quite nice. There are signs and maps, so you won't get lost. It took me half a day to explore the entire place, and it was great!

Hidden Temple in Chiang Mai That Few People Know About
Wat Pha Lat is a very beautiful temple located in a large forest. It is an ancient temple from the Lanna period, over 500 years old. It is situated in the forest along the way to Doi Suthep, not far from Chiang Mai city. It is very easy to get to, even small cars can reach it. This is another very beautiful and peaceful temple in Chiang Mai. Upon entering the temple grounds, it feels like a magical place, shaded by large and small trees, lush and cool with a refreshing atmosphere.
📍Wat Pha Lat (Skitakami)
Location: 101 Ban Huay Pha Lat, Moo 1, Suthep Subdistrict, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai
Third time in Chiang Mai | Must-try affordable breakfast, delicious and photogenic.
📍Nai To Congee Shop
This is a very unique breakfast shop. The decor is very retro and photogenic. The breakfast is delicious and cheap.
It is located near Tha Pae Gate. After breakfast, you can go to Tha Pae Gate to feed the pigeons.
🅿️Parking is available at the entrance
⏰Opening hours: 07:00-14:00, closed on Sundays.
We arrived at around 10 o'clock that day, and there were seats available, so we didn't have to queue.
It is said that there are usually many people, so try to go early.
☕️Order recommendation:
Chicken feet: soft and flavorful, melts in your mouth.
Pork porridge (with poached egg): tastes good, but not amazing. Very suitable for Chinese taste.
Pork rice: with poached egg, a bit spicy, I like it.
Fried rice noodles: full of wok flavor, delicious 😋
Toast: My daughter likes it very much, it's crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Kids should like it.
🏡Environment: The dining environment is clean and comfortable, the decor is very retro, there are many small decorations that are very thoughtful, and it's very photogenic.
This hotel in Chiang Mai is a paradise for the budget-conscious.
📍Book Design Hotel
I booked a standard double room for 2 adults and 1 child for 180 per night.
Breakfast is not included, but there are many breakfast options nearby, including the Three Kings Monument.
✅Location and surroundings
The hotel is located outside the old city, not far from the old city. It's convenient to take a taxi anywhere. Within a 5-minute walk, there is a self-service laundry, 7-11, breakfast shop, pharmacy, massage shop, etc. This 7-11 is the only one in Thailand where I found a 49 baht 7-day phone card.
✅Rooms and facilities
When I booked, the room area was shown as 24 square meters, but it actually felt like it was about 35 square meters. I don't know if the room was upgraded. The decoration is very simple and clean, mainly black and white. The room is very clean. There are free snacks and drinks in the public area. There is a swimming pool with a hammock next to it. The pool water looks very clean. There is a coffee shop in front of the hotel. The coffee and snacks taste good and are not expensive.
✅The hotel can rent motorcycles 🛵, starting at 250 baht~
I stayed in 2 hotels in Chiang Mai this time, and I liked both of them very much. I will also share pictures of the other hotel after I sort them out.

Chiang Mai Yi Peng Festival
The Chiang Mai Yi Peng Festival is my favorite Thai festival, bar none. The ancient city is adorned with lanterns everywhere, and there are activities all around the old town. Each temple hosts various events, and during the festival, temples that usually require tickets are open to all visitors for free. You can enjoy the lanterns, make wishes, and release floating lanterns and sky lanterns, which is a lot of fun. After that, you can visit the North Gate Night Market, South Gate Night Market, and the night market behind Chiang Mai University to enjoy some snacks and stroll around leisurely. The best place to watch the parade is at Tha Phae Gate, but it is also very crowded there, which is quite interesting. Additionally, I recommend my favorite temple, which is shown in the photo below with lanterns hanging everywhere.

Rating: 9/10
Aquaria Restaurant and Bar is a fusion-style restaurant located in a lane in the Tha Phae Gate area. It is a spin-off from the famous Aquila restaurant, but the menu is not exactly the same. The focus here is more on Thai flavors and fusion dishes. Recommended dishes include the crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside Crab Cake, chewy Penne Pesto Squid with incredibly fresh squid, medium-rare Beef Steak, fragrant and sweet Caramel Ice Cream that is very refreshing, and the must-try signature dish of the restaurant, the spicy and flavorful Seasoned Pork Ribs. The interior is beautifully decorated in a modern Thai style, air-conditioned, and there is parking available shared with the Spice Garden Hotel. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Chiang Mai.
Kusa Japanese Restaurant invites you to try.

Kusa Japanese Restaurant is a newly opened Japanese restaurant located opposite Wat Ket Karam. The restaurant has been converted from an old two-story wooden house, giving it a truly warm Japanese-style atmosphere. This restaurant is known for its grilled dishes. The recommended menu items are salt-grilled pork belly and salt-grilled chicken skin, which have a delightful charcoal aroma and just the right amount of saltiness. The teriyaki chicken thigh is sweet and savory. The Otoro sushi is very fresh, and the spaghetti with plenty of roe is highly recommended. Additionally, there are various sushi rice ball options to choose from. The restaurant is air-conditioned and has parking available. If you love Japanese food, this place is highly recommended.
Chiang Mai, Thailand! Only by staying here can you truly feel like you're on vacation
Room prices fluctuate with seasons and holidays.
Dear friends, please be rational when recommending.
🏨Name: Inner House Hotel
♡ The overall architectural style features green plants and white walls.
French-style freshness, green plant decorations everywhere💚, with the white walls as a backdrop, the light☀️ becomes particularly charming, making you feel like you're in a beautiful painting. Any casual photo turns out great. During the day, the sunlight casts a golden glow, and walking on the tree-lined paths, you can feel the city's tranquility and peace; at night, the street lights and night scenes blend together, like a mysterious secret place. Whether you're admiring the bright lights of the old town or enjoying the serene starry sky at the airport🌌, it offers a unique experience.
♡ The room is very spacious and exquisitely decorated.
There is also a private pool in the room, which is a major highlight. Swimming in your own little pool🏊🏻♀️ is extremely pleasant. Moreover, the snack cabinet in the room is free, with my favorite snacks, and they even provided a whole bottle of champagne, small pastries, and fruits🍇, which is both generous and thoughtful. The bathroom is also very spacious, with a large shower area. The shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner are all from L'Occitane, of high quality. There is also an outdoor bathtub for soaking🛀🏻 and enjoying leisurely time.
♡ The breakfast provided by the hotel is very sumptuous.
It features Lanna-style breakfast, with each dish being both beautiful and delicious. If it's not enough, you can order more. The afternoon tea🧁 is also exquisite and delicious, with a wide variety. While enjoying the food, you can also feel the hotel's warm and attentive service.
♡ The service here is truly first-class.
From the reception at the front desk, the staff are enthusiastic and friendly, and can explain the hotel facilities in fluent Chinese🪄, providing personalized services based on my needs, making me feel very welcomed, truly like being at home. When checking out, they thoughtfully provided sandwiches🥪 for us to eat on the plane.
Prof. Jordon Satterfield IV Visit Wat Muang Lan to pay respects to Luang Pho Thanjai Muang Lan
Wat Muang Lan is located on Ratchadamnoen Road, not far from Tha Phae Gate. This ancient temple is over 565 years old and showcases the beautiful Lanna architecture. It houses the revered Luang Pho Thanjai Muang Lan. It is believed that those who make merit at Wat Muang Lan and pay respects to Luang Pho Thanjai Muang Lan will become immensely wealthy and experience great happiness.
The vihara with Naga stairs, used for monk ceremonies, is nearing completion of its renovation. Behind the vihara stands an old Lanna-style chedi. In the middle is the library for storing the Tripitaka, and to the far left is the ubosot, surrounded by boundary stones. A unique feature here is the bell tower situated atop the monk's quarters. Wat Muang Lan is a small, very peaceful temple.

Somkiat's Stewed Chicken Noodle and A La Carte Restaurant
Newly opened in Suan Dok area, the recommended dish is the special stewed chicken noodles with tender, fragrant chicken and a rich, flavorful broth. The chicken almost melts in your mouth, and the portions are very generous. There is also a jumbo size for those who want even more. For dessert, try the sweet and fragrant coconut milk pudding. Additionally, there are a la carte dishes like crispy pork basil rice and salted beef basil rice. The restaurant is air-conditioned and comfortably decorated to feel like home. Great value for money. We love exploring cafes when travelling and its always a must on our itinerary.
We stumbled upon Nakka Jardin Cafe while in Chiangmai.
It is a garden cafe surrounded by lush trees and greenery, with a river flowing by. The menu is simple but thoughtful and pricewise is affordable.
More than just a cafe, it is in fact a peaceful spot to relax, sip coffee under the shade of trees, and admire the surrounding flower shrubs.
