It's not the Europe of the Renaissance that has strayed into the Versailles Garden in Chiang Mai
It's my second visit to Chiang Mai, and this quiet little city is full of hidden gems.
In an inconspicuous corner of the northwest of the old city of Chiang Mai, there is a white European-style building with golden decorations, distressed murals, and carvings, all exuding a Renaissance style.
🏛 There is a separate building that you must visit, where you need to remove your shoes. The carvings and the colored window grilles inside are really exquisite, as if they are the palaces of the Versailles Garden.

Interesting wanderings in the Old City 👣👣
We could easily find various attractions while wandering around the town centre. The places is peaceful and was also decorated with colourful and pretty lanterns during its lantern festival. 🎏🪅
Attractions:
🏮Wat Inthakhin (its name in Thai) is a tiny lovely Buddhist temple with traditional Lanna architecture, and located near the Three Kings monument, which stands at an odd angle to the street.
🏮 Wat Saen Muang Ma Luang (Wat Hua Khuang) is a magnificent temple with ornately decorated buildings and located in a large area.

I would be heartbroken if anyone missed this hotel in Chiang Mai.

Located in the ancient city, with a 711 at the doorstep.
Small hotels are full of details, every corner is a photo opportunity. If you come to Chiang Mai and don't stay here for a night, I will be sad.
Failed to book a room with a pool, but I will come back next time!
Upon check-in, a welcome drink is provided. The hotel has prepared fruits and desserts in the room. From 1pm to 5pm, there are complimentary drinks and fixed desserts for afternoon tea.
At night, there will be a goodnight dessert on the bedside table, which is really thoughtful.
In the bathroom, there are lipsticks, nail clippers, and even a curling iron.
The fruits in the room are updated every day, and there are also flowers and orchids decorating the minibar in the cabinet, all of which are free.
Every corner is full of Moroccan style, white buildings wrapped in green plants, perfectly designed.
The only downside is that the scent in the hotel is all almond flavor, and I hate almond flavor.

Chiang Mai is filled with beautiful, gleaming temples but the most sacred of all is the Wat Phra Thai Doi Suthep that sits on the Doi Suthep mountain.Legend is that this temple is built to house a bone of Buddha. It is a must visit if you are in Chiang Mai.
Great temple to visit as the views are breath taking and architecture is very beautiful. Also one of the most sacred temple in Northern Thailand and a popular pilgrimage site.

Let’s start with the awesome ride up to Doi Suthep ! If you can ride a motorbike this is going to be an unforgettable trip, there’s a viewpoint in the way up and you can see most of CM !

“Locals would say, You haven't really gone to Chiang Mai unless you've been to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep.” - My Local Friend
Well.. Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is the most important temple in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Built in the early 19th century, the beauty of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is known for the statue of the seven-headed snake that lines the steps to the temple where the pagoda is (if you take the elevator, you will miss the stairs of this snake statue, unless you go by the elevator and return via the stairs). You need to pay 50 baht for the elevator, 50baht is for roundtrip elevator.
Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is located in Tambon Suthep, Amphoe Mueang, Chiang Mai Province. Doi Suthep Hill is 11 kilometers from downtown Chiang Mai. And because it is located on a mountain, the road to Doi Suthep is more or less the same as Bedugul Bali, with twists and sharp climbs.
Don't forget to wear decent clothes when you come here!

Amazing Wat Phra That Doi Suthep
Welcome to "Wat Phra That Doi Suthep" Chiang Mai Buddhist Temple! It's on top of a high mountain and the structures are plated in gold.
When you are in Chiang Mai, you must go to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Temple for sunset. From the city, it takes about 40 minutes to the mountain to the temple. You can take the red public taxi that drives all over Chiang Mai to get to the temple cheaply.
The temple costs 30 Baht per person and is very beautiful. The view in particular is a dream. In addition, there are many small stalls with food, towels, bags and souvenirs. Definitely worth a visit! Such an amazing attraction to enjoy.

Wat Chedi Luang in Chiang Mai, Thailand
Wat Chedi Luang, like Wat Phra Singh, is one of the most popular temples in Chiang Mai. This temple is also known as the 'Great Pagoda Temple' because of the tall and majestic pagoda inside, although it is now in ruins. Wat Chedi Luang is a place with many stories. Not only does it have a large pagoda and the 'City Pillar' of Chiang Mai, but it also once housed the precious Jade Buddha, which is now worshipped in Wat Phra Kaew in Bangkok.
Like Wat Phra Singh, the origin of this temple is also a burial place built by the Lanna King Saen Muang Ma for his father. The king wanted to make the pagoda bigger and stronger, but it was still not completed when the king died. The king's widow continued the king's will, and during the reign of King Tilokaraj, the pagoda reached a height of 82 meters, making it the tallest building in Lanna at the time. However, the good times did not last long, and the top of the pagoda collapsed in a major earthquake in 1545.

Thailand has loads of temple situated all around the country. One popular temple called the Wat Chedi Luang located in the north of Thailand in changmai: 103 Prapokkloa Rd, Tambon Si Phum, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai 50200, Thailand is one of the oldest temple which dates back all the way to the 14 century.
The build of the temple is remarkable, especially back in the olden days where there isn't any machinery. This is definitely one amazing marvel ever built. Due to the ongoing refurbishments an entrance fee is required to enter in the grounds of the temple. Also, do remember to wear covered pants covering below your knees as this is still considered a scared ground.

• Went to Chiang Mai Saturday Night Market
We woke up at 5am, on the turbulent sleeper train, to the sunrise in Chiang Mai. It was an experience that I am so grateful for.
We headed to the hostel and woowww, this hostel is so serene and beautiful - it truly lives up to its name:( @hiddengardenhostel ).
Our favourite adventures so far are the temples. Wat Chedi Luang was an incredible sight, originally beginning construction in the 14th century, the temple resembles ancient ruins.
We were shocked at how many good shops there were around Chiang Mai- lots being very modern, selling beautiful handmade items.
We visited the completely silver covered temple & then sat and had a Chang Classic beer, as we people watched at a local bar.
Finally, after a little rest at the hostel, we delved into Chiang Mai’s Saturday night market & had street food (I had mushroom vermicelli noodles & a banana, Nutella pancake) - what a brilliant day :)

Beautiful View Of Chiang Mai @Doi Suthep
Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Ratchaworawihan is a beautiful cultural icon of Chiang Mai. The temple grounds is very big and you'll need to climb a lot of stairs up to reach the top. But it's a nice climb as you'll be able to view the valleys and mountains of Chiang Mai at the observation deck. There were lots of people when we were here, both tourist and devotees, but the trip was well worth it if you're in Chiang Mai.
