Wat Phalat, Chiang Mai This temple has a history of more than 500 years, beautiful in the Burmese style of construction. It is located in the middle of the forest and surrounded by nature. It is very quiet and shady. The temple has a Burmese-style pagoda and it is estimated that this temple was built since the time of King Ku Na. It is important as a memorial for finding a place to enshrine the Buddha's relics. Inside the temple, there is a pagoda in the style of Kruba Srivijaya, but it was built by Burmese craftsmen, the same group that built the temple. The appearance of the pagoda is Burmese art. It is assumed that the shape is similar to Wat Mahawan, Tha Pae Road, Chiang Mai. The name of Wat Phalat comes from the local elders who said that it was originally called Phalet because many people who followed an elephant along the waterfall and slipped and fell, so the elephant slipped as well, so it was named Wat Talet.
