Beautiful cafe with a fairytale forest theme

#CafeReview CHOM Café & Restaurant – This restaurant with the short Thai name “Chom” is not only similar to the abbreviation of Chiang Mai Province, but the atmosphere inside the restaurant is also truly worth seeing, especially the garden area decorated in a tropical style, complete with lush green trees, flowing streams, waterfalls, and mist that looks like light fog, reminiscent of a fairytale forest. It is so beautiful that it was chosen as the location for the Regency commercial that we are familiar with. It is a must-visit restaurant for photography lovers. In addition to the outstanding atmosphere, the food here is of high quality and beautifully presented, to the point that it was even recommended in the Michelin Guide. So we had to order a big set to try. 🇹🇭 [Thai Food] ➡️ Chom Grilled Pork Neck This is the best menu of this meal. The pork is marinated until it is very soft and tender. The proportion of meat and fat is just right. It smells fragrant. The sauce is also delicious. The vegetables served with it are beautifully selected. Delicious and satisfying. ➡️ Pomelo Salad with Fresh Shrimp This dish is so good, don’t miss it. The salad is perfectly cooked. The shrimp is fresh and bouncy. Selected pomelo with a sharp and refreshing taste, very well-balanced. ➡️ Chicken leg massaman curry + roti The curry paste is fragrant and tasty, but the curry is not very thick. The fried roti dough is a bit oily. ➡️ Herbal miang kham Another dish that is well-made, the miang kham sauce is thick, the dried shrimp is medium-sized, the coconut and freshly roasted peanuts are fragrant, very enjoyable to eat. ➡️ Watch the crab fat chili paste fried rice The fried rice is fragrant with crab fat, sprinkled with bits of crab meat on top, the taste is well-rounded, eaten with fresh chili and peanuts, it helps to cut the richness and add a good texture. ➡️ Watch the grandma chili paste fried rice, pork This dish uses a little spicy chili paste, suitable for those who like spicy food. The pork is also soft and quite good. 🍝 [Western food] ➡️ Spaghetti Bolognese The spaghetti is boiled to the right level of chewiness, but the Bolognese sauce is not very rich. ➡️ Spaghetti Carbonara This dish is well done, the sauce is rich, fragrant, creamy, with a soft egg yolk and generously sprinkled with grated Parmesan cheese. The bacon is both soft and crispy, giving a nice contrasting texture. Delicious. 🍨 [Dessert] I chose to try the ice cream, served in a big scoop, decorated with marshmallows, which the kids liked. In terms of overall taste, there are dishes that I like more and less, but I can see the meticulousness in both the details and the decoration of the dishes. When combined with the beautiful atmosphere, it makes this one of the top restaurants worth visiting in Chiang Mai.
