Chiang Mai Central Festival is a large shopping mall with lots to see🛍️

There are fewer shopping malls in downtown Chiang Mai than you might think. Wonnimman and Maya Mall in Nimmanhaemin are representative, but they are not as large as you might think. Central Festival is a bit far from Nimmanhaemin and Old Town, but it is not too far and is a very large shopping mall. There are various shopping streets and food, and the air conditioning is great, so this is heaven on a hot day! I visited on the weekend, and there was a stage performance in the square in front of the shopping mall, and a food street, so there was a lot to see.
