Chiang Saen City Wall

🧱 Built in 1871 by digging a moat on 3 sides, except for the eastern side which uses the Mekong River as the border. Build a city wall on all 4 sides with 11 gates. 💁♀️ Currently, there is evidence of the northern city wall, which is 950 meters long. Important evidence found from archaeological excavations includes the 1st and 2nd period city walls, which were built over the 1st period city walls. The 2nd period city walls have a special feature: the inner city walls are made of brick steps.
