Wat Nantaram, Chiang Kham, Phayao 🪷 There is a temple built entirely of teak wood, Shan art decorated with beautiful fretwork patterns, which is considered the most beautiful temple in Phayao Province. 🪷 Inside the temple, there are 3 floors. The highest floor is the Buddha floor, which is the floor of the principal Buddha image and Buddha statues. The next floor is the floor of the monks and the last floor is the floor of the seats for male and female lay devotees. The ceiling is decorated with glass patterns in the Mandalay art style. 🪷 Inside the temple, there is a golden teak principal Buddha image named Phra Phuttha Metta, which is a Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya attitude, dressed in Mandalay style, carved from large golden teak wood. The face is beautiful and peaceful, full of compassion. The lap width is 51 inches, and the height from the base to the top of the hair is about 9 cubits. 🪷 The Buddha image is enshrined on a wooden throne decorated with patterns and colored glass, beautifully decorated with Burmese fretwork in a vine pattern.
