Wat Nantaram, Phayao Province

Wat Nantharam Located in Ban Don Chai, in Chiang Kham Subdistrict Municipality, Phayao Province, this temple preserves the Shan-style temple. The temple is made of teak wood, decorated with beautiful patterns and fretwork on various components such as the pediment, windows, and balconies. The carved patterns and the layered roof are covered with wooden shingles or tiles. The interior of the temple is solemn and full of faith. There is a Shan-style pagoda, a museum of old banknotes, antique utensils, antique fabrics, and ancient paintings about each part of the Mahachat sermon. Another interesting thing in the temple is the golden-yellow pulpit, which is beautifully fretworked and modeled after the Burmese throne. If you look up at the ceiling, you will see beautiful and exquisite stained glass decorations. Both the Buddha statues and other artworks at Wat Nantharam are valuable and impressive to visit.
