Pay respects to Luang Pho Thanjai at Wat Tham Chiang Dao - Chiang Mai

This ancient temple in Chiang Dao district is located at the foot of Doi Luang Chiang Dao. It is another tourist attraction in Chiang Mai known for its natural beauty, serene atmosphere, and cool weather all year round. The temple grounds are quite spacious and feature Buddhist architecture. At the entrance, there is the famous Luang Pho Thanjai Buddha statue, the shrine of Phor Luang Kham Daeng, and the Ratchamati Chedi Sri Wichai. Tourists often come to make merit and pray for good fortune. If you have enough time, you can explore the beautiful stalactites and stalagmites inside the cave. At the cave entrance, there is a clear water pond with fish, which flows from inside the cave. The entrance fee to the cave is 20 baht. Flowers for worship are available for purchase at the entrance. If you wish to go deeper into the cave, a guide is required, and there is an additional fee of 200 baht for an oil lamp. The parking area has several food and drink stalls, including coffee shops. There are also restrooms available near the parking lot.
