Château de Cheverny, France

The domain of Cheverny belonged to the Hurault family for more than six centuries. Financiers and officers in the service of several kings of France, their château is one of the largest in the Loire Valley and is still inhabited by the descendants of the Huraults, the Marquis and Marchionesse of Vibraye. In 1914, the owner opened the château to the public, one of the first to do so. The castle was visited by Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother in 1963, as part of her four-day holiday in the Loire. #summervacation 🇫🇷
