Some people say, "The people of Yunnan gave Erhai Lake to the world and kept Fuxian Lake for themselves." According to legend, the Jade Emperor sent two immortals, Shi and Xiao, to inspect the human world. When they arrived in central Yunnan, they saw a pool of sparkling clear water. They were fascinated by the beautiful scenery and were reluctant to leave. They turned into boulders, hence the name Fuxian Lake. Because I missed my trip to Erhai Lake two years ago very much, I chose Fuxian Lake this year, hoping to see the pearl of central Yunnan known as "Ten Thousand Acres of Colored Glass". ☁️Weather: During the Spring Festival, the temperature difference between morning and evening in Fuxian Lake is large. The highest temperature during the day can reach 20 degrees, and only 4 or 5 degrees at night, and the sunshine is strong! Strong sunshine! The biggest mistake I made on this trip was not bringing sunscreen, which caused burning pain on my forehead and face from the third day, so painful that I dared not make large facial expressions easily [Toasted][Toasted][Toasted] In addition, Fuxian Lake is surrounded by mountains, with strong winds and waves, so windproof clothes and hats are still very necessary🤧🤧🤧 🚄Transportation: Fuxian Lake is located in Chengjiang City, under the jurisdiction of Yuxi City, about 60 kilometers away from Kunming. There is no train to Chengjiang City, so I flew to Kunming and directly asked for a car to pick me up at the airport and take me to the B&B. It takes about 100 minutes from the airport to the B&B. If you don’t drive here by yourself, online car-hailing is not very convenient. Generally, Chengjiang City, Cambrian Town and other places are okay. 🏠Accommodation: Because I like quietness, after comparing, I chose to live in Xiaowan Village (Figures 18 and 19). This place is relatively new overall, and basically all of them are fresh-style homestays and cafes. They are built on the mountain and you can enjoy the lake view very well [TeaDrinker][TeaDrinker][TeaDrinker] However, the mistake is that the Internet celebrity cafes attract a large number of tourists, including various speechless behaviors and people, including but not limited to those who open the public to watch videos and play games 😤😤 those who call friends to take pictures 😩😩 those who scream and scream like a naughty child 😡😡 resulting in a very poor experience outside of accommodation 🙃🙃🙃 🍜Food: Fuxian Lake is mainly based on Yunnan cuisine. Basically every restaurant has copper pot fish, potato rice and barbecue, and of course the famous mushroom hot pot 🍄🍄🍄If you drive yourself, it is strongly recommended to go to the Cambrian Town in the north or the Dawan Village in the south, where there are many restaurants and types to choose from. As for why it is not recommended to eat in Xiaowan Village where you are staying, please see the detailed account below😵😵😵 🚏Attractions: Fuxian Lake is the same as Erhai Lake, both are tours around the lake. Although the whole circle of Fuxian Lake is only about 100 kilometers, there are many attractions along the lake. If you don’t have much time, you won’t be able to visit all of them. The main attractions of Fuxian Lake are concentrated in the northern half. Most of them are free and not very large. Basically, you can visit them all within 1 hour (excluding those with children 😅😅). If you live by the lake like me, you still need to plan your trip carefully if you want to go back and forth🤔🤔🤔Many local B&Bs and attractions have Trip Moments. As for the specific effect, of course it depends on fate🫣🫣🫣 The next is the diary part Day 1: Beijing Daxing-Kunming Changshui, the whole journey is more than 3 hours. It snowed when we took off, so it was delayed by 30 minutes. We arrived in Kunming at around 4 pm. We picked up the airport and went directly to the B&B. The journey took about 100 minutes. Let me add a comment here, the local people in Yunnan are really good at driving 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫After checking in, I packed up and went out to find food. It should be noted that the catering facilities in Xiaowan Village are not enough to support the flow of tourists during the Spring Festival. Restaurants with slightly better reviews often have dozens of tables lined up. Moreover, the restaurants here are not completely enclosed walls and roofs, and there are leaks everywhere, which made my first meal experience very bad😑😑😑After the meal, according to my own nature, I mainly familiarized myself with the environment around the homestay on the first night. However, Xiaowan Village is built on the mountain, and there are steep slopes and steps up and down. I was already in a bad mood, and I hurried back to wash and sleep when I was lazy😪😪😪 The next day: As expected, I slept until 11 o'clock⏰⏰ During this period, the owner of the homestay also thoughtfully left a breakfast for me, which touched me🥹🥹Because my usual leisurely style of traveling, I directly rented an electric car and traveled clockwise along the red route in Figure 20. The first stop is the Sun Mountain Town Square (Pictures 1, 2, and 3), which is next to Xiaowan Village. There is a large area of ​​villas on the hillside with a square and a market in the middle. It is mainly European-style buildings. You can overlook Fuxian Lake from the hillside, and the scenery is quite good. On the way to the Xianhu Bay Scenic Area, there is a section of plank road on the side of the road, which is very photogenic (Pictures 4 and 5). The second stop is Xianhu Bay Scenic Area (Figure 6), where tickets are free and there are sailboats and pedal boats. The third stop 📍 A Touch of Blue·TheBlue Wild Luxury Inn·Cliff Cafe (Pictures 7, 8, 9). As the name suggests, it is an Internet-famous coffee shop built on the cliff. It has designed and built platforms in various styles for people who come here to check in and take pictures. Because it is located on a high ground, you can also take pictures of the lake view and sailboats. The fourth stop is the internet-famous S Bay of Fuxian Lake (Figure 10), a beautiful scene in my imagination, enjoying the breeze, drinking coffee, and admiring the lake view and sunset. Unfortunately, it was overcrowded, with randomly parked vehicles, tables and chairs from merchants, and you can imagine the beautiful scenery by yourself🥱🥱🥱It should be noted that the sunset at Fuxian Lake is more random. During the few days I was there, I watched a big white sun slowly set behind the mountain, and then the sky turned red for a few minutes and then gradually darkened😞😞😞 Day 3: Considering the distance and time issues, I decisively chartered a car to travel around the lake, following the blue route in Figure 20 and going counterclockwise. Due to seasonal reasons, we skipped Sakura Valley. The fifth stop 📍 Moon Bay Wetland Park (Pictures 11 and 12), the ticket price is 30 yuan, but you can exchange it for food and drinks in the park, no change is provided. This place is known as the Little Sanya in Yunnan. It has white sand beaches and some water activities. It is more suitable for taking children to play. However, the temperature during the Spring Festival is too high to go into the water. 😏😏Sixth stop📍 Fuxian Lake Mafang Village Ecological Wetland Park (Picture 13), free, this celebrity camera position is very photogenic, but unfortunately I have no model to shoot🤣🤣🤣Seventh stop📍 Guanglong Fuhai Bay Wetland Park (Picture 14), free, there are large tracts of flower fields, plank roads, and beaches, suitable for taking children or taking a walk. There were crowds of people near noon, as shown in Figure 14, the lonely tree. It is still suitable for taking photos when there are fewer people. In addition, the Chengjiang City Planning Museum at the entrance of the park displays the historical evolution of Chengjiang City's development and protection of Fuxian Lake. The eighth stop 📍 Fuxian Lake Red Sand Beach (Figure 15), free. How should I put it? Don’t hold out too much hope, lest you be deceived by the refined retouching on the Internet. Figure 15 is taken directly from the camera, you can experience it for yourself. I think it is similar to the color of the crushed bricks used to build red brick houses in the past 🧱🧱🧱😂😂 Later on the way, the driver told me that the reason why the red beach is red is that it is actually the red soil on the hillside next to it, which fell down and was formed by the lake water. The ninth stop is Luchong Scenic Area (Figures 16 and 17), with a ticket price of 15 yuan. It is backed by mountains and faces the water, with beautiful scenery. Climbing up Bijia Mountain and overlooking the entire lake, one feels as if “the place where Xie Gong stayed is still there, with clear water rippling and monkeys crying.” The lake at the foot of the mountain is another scene. The sunlight shines through the lake, which is as clear and green as a mirror, making people feel relaxed and happy. There are several platforms around the Toad Cave, which are very suitable for taking pictures. Due to time constraints, I gave up on visiting the famous Fish Cave further south. According to the driver, the lake view, sailboats, etc. there are actually similar, and the main difference is that there are a few internet-famous coffee shops. In the evening, I did not go back to Xiaowan Village directly, but asked the driver to take me to Cambrian Town to find food. There are many restaurants to choose from, and the dining experience is much better than the previous two days😊😊😊 Day 4: A leisurely day, strolling slowly in Xiaowan Village (Figures 18 and 19), which is actually just a slope. I originally planned to find a cafe to read a book and paint a picture, but as mentioned in the accommodation section above, the experience was extremely bad. I returned to the B&B Fuxian Lake Lanshansu Full Lake View Courtyard in a huff. The considerate B&B owner gave me the small conference room to use alone. I could finally calm down and "be a literary youth for a while" 🧑‍🎨🧑‍🎨In the evening, I went to the reserved restaurant and had a delicious mushroom hotpot 😋😋 to put an end to this trip. Day 5: Kunming Changshui - Beijing Daxing. My 🐱s must have thought that I went out hunting and killed something 🤣🤣🤣. I quickly opened a can and ate some freeze-dried food to calm my nerves. After this trip, Fuxian Lake still met my expectations. Due to seasonal reasons, there is still a lot of room for improvement in the experience.
