Wenshu Monastery

The temple was built during the Sui Dynasty (605-617). It was originally called "Xinxiang Temple" (信相寺庙). Until 1697, the 36th year of the Kangxi Dynasty, the temple was renovated. It was led by Venerable Sidu, who believed that Venerable Sidu was a part of Bodhisattva Manjushri. The temple's name was changed to "文殊院 Wénshū yuàn Wenshuyuan" since then.
