Located in the historical Canton Hall, the restaurant, named 'The Hall', is fully equipped with Louis Vuitton's classic monogram as well as its more recent aesthetic charm The tasting menu will set you back ￥1888 plus ￥888 for the wine paring, but what you get is a whole set of Instagram worthy presentations and an exaggerated staff to guest ratio (1:1 or probably 2:1 at some point) to ensure you get the best experience you deserve, as if you are shopping at a Louis Vuitton boutique Flavourwise, you can certainly taste the Italian heritage, but with most of the ingredients sourced locally from various areas of Mainland China, you also get a sense of familiar Chinese influence here and there. The light fusion of the dishes matches well with the vibe of the premises, and in my opinion differentiates it from most of western fine diners in China, which often market themselves as 'using imported ingredients from Europe/Japan/Australia' You may come here as a pilgrim of Louis Vuitton franchise, or you are just curious how this fashion-dining crossover could work out, but in the end, you will leave as a satisfied patron and you will be glad to realise that the eyewatering price tag is not just for the cost of the LV logo on your plate
