Chengdu's only hotel I'd stay at twice!!! Meets all my needs

Grand Hyatt Chengdu: A luxurious experience in the clouds I recently stayed at the Grand Hyatt Chengdu, and this hotel, located on the 38th to 60th floors of the 249-meter-tall West International Finance Center in the Chunxi Road/Taikoo Li business district, left a deep impression on me. 🏘️ Room Type/Layout I stayed in the Residence Suite. The 60-square-meter space cleverly separates a small living room and a separate bedroom. The sink area and toilet are separate. Although the toilet is not large, it is equipped with a KOHLER smart toilet. The sink area has two sinks and a bathtub. It's very pleasant to take a bath after shopping at Taikoo Li. The overall layout is reasonable, the activity space is comfortable, and the large bed has moderate firmness, which is good for the back. 🛌 Amenities/Facilities 1. Room Details: Drinks and snacks at the in-room minibar are free. The first round of the mini bar is free and includes beef jerky. The hotel uses VOSS water, which is quite high-quality. Turndown service is provided with a complimentary steam eye mask, which is very thoughtful. When the room air conditioner is set at a low temperature, it can feel dry at night. The smart toilet makes a loud noise when flushing, and the experience is not as good as the TOTO toilet at home. 2. Dining Experience: The executive lounge benefits are plentiful. In the afternoon, you can enjoy juice and pastries. The 6 p.m. light dinner is very rich, with seafood, Chengdu-style spicy stir-fried squid, tomato-baked green-lipped mussels, spicy chicken, ribs, cold mung bean jelly noodles, and more. Paired with red wine and vegetable salad, it's a perfect dinner. However, the spicy stir-fried squid is quite spicy, so eat it in moderation. The breakfast selection is extensive, with local specialties like egg pancakes, but I personally found it average. I just had eggs, bread, Thai shrimp salad, fatty intestine noodles, vegetable salad, and fruit. 3. Leisure Facilities: The gym and swimming area seem to be outsourced. The longest dimension of the swimming pool is only 20 meters, which is not ideal for those who enjoy swimming. There were many people swimming in the morning, which affected the experience, so I swam for a while and went back to my room. 4. Service Experience: The service is attentive. I called customer support to request water, and they quickly delivered a pack of 6 bottles. Two days before check-in, Globalists have a high probability of securing a suite in advance. During my stay, I enjoyed Globalist benefits, including afternoon tea and evening happy hour. Executive lounge benefits also include three free pieces of laundry during the stay, which is very suitable for washing winter down jackets. 🧹 Soundproofing/Cleanliness The hotel should maintain a high standard in these two aspects. 💗 Other Tips 1. The hotel is in a great location, close to Chunxi Road. You can see Taikoo Li from the room, making it very convenient for shopping and sightseeing. 2. The hotel building was designed by the pioneering planning and architectural consultant HMD, inspired by Tang poetry. The building's floodlighting design makes it particularly eye-catching in Chengdu's CBD and is worth admiring.
