Qingyang District Li Jiayu Brothers' House

Li Jiayu Brothers (Li Zudong) House Address and location: Wangjiaguai Street, Qingyang District Category: Important modern historical sites and representative buildings Era: Republic of China Li Zudong's house was built during the Republic of China (1930s). The building was the private residence of Li Zudong, the younger brother of Li Jiayu, a general of the National Revolutionary Army and an anti-Japanese general. After the liberation of Chengdu, it was taken over by the People's Government and later handed over to the Sichuan Federation of Trade Unions for management and use. The house faces east and west, and is a three-story brick and wood structure in the style of a Western-style building. The ground floor is a semi-basement, with two staircases leading to the left and right of the building, and a circular platform 1.5 meters high on the right staircase, covering an area of about 420 square meters. Each room has a small door connecting to each other, with two internal staircases connecting the three floors, and the rooms are equipped with European-style fireplaces, private bathrooms, wooden floors, and most of the exterior windows are round lattice windows with stained glass. The front is divided into a semicircular and a four-cornered light balcony. The roof is a gable roof with small green tiles, with two hexagonal pagoda tops connected to the ridge and the main ridge. In June 2007, it was announced by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government as a provincial cultural relic protection unit.
