Did you know? The Southern Silk Road started from today's [Chengdu Jinmen]. The "Shu Brocade and National Style, Splendid Silk Road" 2024 "New Shu Brocade" promotion event was launched at Jinmen. I came here to learn about it and found that the history and culture of Shu brocade is so rich. Shu brocade is one of China's "Three Famous Brocades" and is known as the "Mother of Brocades." It is a witness to the civilization of Bashu. The natural environment and cultural customs of the Bashu region have been woven into this exquisite brocade, forming the unique color and pattern style of Shu brocade. This is a great time to come to Jinmen to learn about Shu brocade and other intangible cultural heritage. The Han Dynasty street displays "Leizu's Silkworms and Silk Weaving," with real live silkworms, two Han Dynasty silk weaving machines, and weaving experience activities. The "Hanfu Cosplay Experience" is the most popular project. People change into ancient costumes and walk through the Han, Tang, Song, Ming, and Qing streets, as if they have traveled back in time to the ancient streets of Chengdu.
