Famous Places in Chengdu, China - Wuhou

everyone! Today I went to Wuhou Shrine in Chengdu. It's really an amazing place. As soon as I walked onto Wuhou Shrine Street, I saw the antique buildings from a distance. When I arrived at the entrance, wow, instantly I felt a wave of historical atmosphere coming towards me. After entering, it was like I had traveled back in time. The buildings here are really distinctive, with red walls, green tiles, and carved beams and painted pillars. As I walked and looked around, I imagined the admiration of the people of Shu in ancient times for heroes like Zhuge Liang and others of the Shu Han. I learned that Wuhou Shrine was built in 223 AD. What a long history! Moreover, it is the only shrine in the country that commemorates the heroes of the Shu Han such as Liu Bei, Zhuge Liang, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei, and it is also the most influential museum of Three Kingdoms relics in the world. That's so awesome! I saw the "Three Wonders Stele". I heard that in the fourth year of Yuanhe during the reign of Emperor Xianzong of the Tang Dynasty, Wu Yuanheng, the military governor of Xichuan in Jiannan, led 27 subordinates including Pei Du and Yang Sifu to pay respects at Wuhou Shrine. Pei Du, the secretary in charge of records, was asked to write an inscription and erect the stele. The story behind this is really interesting. Walking around in Wuhou Shrine, I feel like I've become more cultured. Every plant, every tree, every brick and every tile here seems to be telling stories of the past. After visiting the historical relics area of the Three Kingdoms, I went to the Three Kingdoms cultural experience area in the west district and experienced the life of the ancients. It was so much fun. Finally, I also went to the Jinli folk area. Here it is extremely lively, and all kinds of snacks and handicrafts make people's eyes dazzled. This trip to Wuhou Shrine is really fruitful. Not only did I learn about history, but I also felt the unique charm of Chengdu. Next time I will bring my friends here again and let them also feel this strong historical atmosphere and the enthusiasm of Chengdu.#china#cheng du #trip
