Yongling Park

Yongling Park was opened in 2009. Yongling, also known as Wang Jian's tomb, is located at Sandongqiao, outside the west gate of Chengdu. Wang Jian (847–918), known for his bravery in battle, was ennobled as the King of Shu by Emperor Zhaozong of Tang. In 907 AD, after the fall of the Tang Dynasty, Wang Jian declared himself emperor, historically known as Former Shu, and was buried at Sandongqiao. The 24 dancer reliefs on the east, south, and west sides of the coffin base, each with a different posture, dance gracefully, and are rare treasures of Tang Dynasty art.
