Weekend Family Tour | Enjoy the best of Chengdu in just one hotel

For this weekend trip, we booked the InterContinental Century City Chengdu. The InterContinental is also a high-end hotel of IHG. It is trustworthy and will not let you down when traveling with children. I don't want to stay in the hotel all the time when I take my child out to play, but it's also very tiring and laborious to take him out to play🙈 Fortunately, this hotel has a lot of facilities. The hotel rooms are decorated in a classical style with exquisite materials. Many modern facilities have been added to keep up with the times, such as the very easy-to-use Dyson hair dryer; in terms of toiletries, children have special toiletries bags which is a surprise, and Byredo Blanche and other toiletries sets are also available. The hall is definitely the most magnificent hall I have ever seen. It is dozens of meters high and it feels like a microcosm of Chengdu Cultural Center. The entire lobby is surrounded by green trees, birds singing and flowers blooming, just like moving the forest into the hotel. The Longqiao Cafe has everything from teahouses, Sichuan cuisine, and traditional Chinese style photography. There are also intangible cultural heritage face-changing skills, handmade daifuku making and other one-stop solutions to the troubles of raising children. When I checked in in the afternoon, I saw a performance by the Chinese Women's Orchestra, a European band performance in the evening, and a Tai Chi performance at breakfast. There were so many activities to fill the whole day! The next day, during lunch time, I enjoyed the Sichuan Opera face-changing, a traditional intangible cultural heritage of Chengdu, without having to buy a separate ticket to watch it at the Sichuan Theater. The first time Ben saw the face-changing face up close 🙀, he was shocked for the whole afternoon! The children liked the meals provided by the hotel very much. There were many varieties and they said they were delicious. When I travel with my kids, I pay more attention to the hotel’s meals. The seafood and fruits are very fresh. After lunch, I took Benzai to experience traditional Chinese style photography and daifuku making, and experienced the fun of food making with a group of children. In addition to playing in the hotel, traveling around is very convenient. Within 3 kilometers, you will find Chengdu’s landmark twin towers and Chengdu’s luxury shopping mall SKP (shop, shop, shop 🛍️). If the weather is good, you can even visit Guixi Ecological Park downstairs. The ecological park of thousands of acres is surrounded by office buildings. Brother Ben can enjoy himself in the park. This month is InterContinental’s 16th anniversary. The three-night stay at 1999 includes 3 nights in a deluxe king-size bed 🛏️/twin beds 🛏️🛏️, which is a bit of a bargain. It’s said that it can also be used during the Spring Festival! It can be seen on all major platforms. I will plan to bring my parents to Chengdu again during the Spring Festival!
