Giant Panda Research Base in Chengdu

If you love pandas🐼 then this is the place for you. Usually we avoid animal enclosures and zoos. However the research base is well designed. The enclosures are large and well maintained and no interactions with the animals are allowed. The animals all look healthy and well looked after. And they are absolutely adorable 🐼🤩 🚕 Getting There - the research base is easily accessible from the city centre by Didi. Staying in Qingyang District in Chengdu it took about 30 mins to reach the base and cost about 50 RMB 🐼🌲Attractions - tickets to base are 55RMB per person. You can easily buy them at the entrance. Most people had purchased online tickets but I'm not sure if foreign tourist can book online at the moment. There arent many food options so make sure you have a good meal before or take some snacks with you. 💡Special tips- There are several enclosures in the area. Going early is the best choice as the pandas a fed just after opening time and this is when they are most active. Also, starting at the enclosure furtherest from the entrance and working backwards is a good idea to stay away from the movement of the main crowds. Overall an excellent half day trip to take if in Chengdu. About 3-4 hours is enough to visit all the attractions inside. #zoo#nationalpark
