For the blue of Morocco, I have fallen for Chefchaouen countless times

Chefchaouen is a delicate and beautiful mountain town in the northwest of Morocco. Unlike the orderly blue and white of Santorini, the overwhelming blue of Chefchaouen is unrestrained and without any particular pattern, yet it comes at you in extreme harmony, making all the legends about it seem pale in comparison. It is said that the town was painted blue initially to repel mosquitoes. Later, people spontaneously painted doors, steps, staircases, windowsills, flower racks, mailboxes, and everything within sight blue. Blue has become a part of life here. The blue of Chefchaouen is not a uniform shade; there is Prussian blue, ultramarine, lake blue, sky blue, phthalocyanine blue, deep blue, light blue, powder blue... Various shades of blue bloom unrestrainedly in Chefchaouen, and every stop at every street corner feels like being surrounded by endless blue. The residents of Chefchaouen believe that 'blue' represents 'the sky' and 'heaven'. Living here is like walking in the sky and imagining what heaven looks like, and those long staircases seem to be the stairs to heaven. Some say Chefchaouen is also called the Cat Town, which shows the number of cats and the locals' affection for them. Wandering through the alleys of Chefchaouen, you can see cats everywhere, either strolling leisurely in the alleys or lying on the deep blue steps in a daze, or watching the hurried passersby. The time in this small town is slow and quiet, like a slowly breathing history, allowing every visitor to have a 'Blue Dream' moment.
