Qingguo Lane

Qingguo Lane, formerly known as "Qian Guo Lane", is located at No. 74, Dongxia Tang, Tianning District, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province (310 meters walk from Exit 5B of Wenhua Gong Subway Station). It is one of the ancient streets and lanes in Changzhou, built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, and has the reputation of "the first lane of celebrities in the south of the Yangtze River". Qingguo Lane is located in the southern part of the old city of Changzhou, south of the ancient canal, east of Zhengsu Lane, west of Jinling Middle Road, straight to the commercial center of South Street, and north of the ancient village. The entire block is about 400 meters long from east to west, about 200 meters long from north to south, and covers an area of about 8.7 hectares. The buildings in Qingguo Lane are mainly from the Ming, Qing, and Republic of China periods, with 1 World Cultural Heritage: the Nan Shi River section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal; 3 national key cultural relics protection units: Qu Qiubai's former residence, Liu Guojun's former residence, Tang Jingchuan's residence; 5 provincial key cultural relics protection units: Qu Qiubai's former residence, Liu Guojun's former residence, Tang Jingchuan's residence, Yanghu Chenghuang Temple Ancient Theater, Zhao Yuanren's former residence; 6 municipal key cultural relics protection units and 39 general immovable cultural relics. On February 19, 2014, the People's Government of Jiangsu Province announced Qingguo Lane as a historical and cultural block.
