The Banshan Bookstore in Changzhou is located on the 14th to 16th floors of the New Century Mall in the center of Changzhou's South Street commercial district. The bookstore occupies three floors of the mall, and the 12-meter book wall is truly stunning. The inspiration for the Banshan Bookstore comes from the pseudonym 'Banshan' of Wang Anshi, who once served as the prefect of Changzhou. His pseudonym 'Banshan' was chosen to commemorate Wang Anshi when the bookstore was established. Moreover, the name 'Banshan' also metaphorically represents the spirit of 'being as good as halfway up the mountain without actually being there,' expressing the bookstore founder's humility and passionate dedication to the bookstore business. The most unforgettable feature here is the thirty-six 'cubicles.' Each independent 'cubicle' reading room is 3 meters wide and 2.2 meters high, spanning two floors.
