The hike started at 9.30am and ended at 6pm. The route was mostly under the shade of trees. It was 34 degrees on the day we went, but it was not as hot as we imagined. I drink a lot of water when I sweat, and I drank about 3 liters of water that day. There are a few places selling water in the first half, but basically none in the latter part. There are quite a lot of people on this route on weekends, and we met several teams. If you get lost, you can wait a while.
